The list has been compiled and the United States has 20 companies out of the top 100 “green companies” in the world.  The list is compiled annually by a research group called the Corporate Kinghts.  The list, called the “Global 100″ judges companies based on their level of “sustainable  behavior.”  Sustainable behavior is a term that does not have a clear definition yet, for their purposes, they define sustainable behavior as how well the companies handle environmental, social, and governance behavior as opposed to their peers.  The top 20 companies are listed below for your reference (in alphabetical order)
